The 2nd phase of pilots’ first pilot was conducted by VisionWare (Portugal) on the 7th of December, in Matosinhos.

The tests included a live Microsoft Teams’ session, thus assuring the remote presence of AlmavivA (Italy), CEA (France) and JCP-Connect (France).

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, it was not possible to execute the pilot in the Free Technological Zone of Matosinhos as initially planned. A plan B was put into place and the pilot took place at the Lionesa Business Center, also in Matosinhos.

The Portuguese use case (Smart Mobility) concerns abusive parking.

At this 2nd pilot, several tests were made to validate the use case: the abusive parking was detected by the sensor; human faces and license plates of other cars were not captured; the IGW was able to collect and send the sensors’ data to the SCENE Service Platform – in different ranges and in movement. We also tested the content delivery functionality of the IGW, with and without Internet connectivity. Finally, dedicated security tests were performed against the SCENE platform, which were successfully detected and stopped by the onboard anomaly-based IDS.

Despite the restrictions, the commitment and efforts of all partners made the pilot a success! Check the video.
