As announced previously, the 2nd SCENE plenary meeting took place in Rennes, on May 21-22 2019. This meeting represented a significant step towards the development of the intelligent gateway, and its deployment in the proposed use cases.
Regarding the technical integration, steps were taken to specify services APIs, message formats, security standards and user interfaces. The initial specifications defined in the initial phase of the project were reviewed, to ensure they were compatible with the proposed use cases. Furthermore, the partners engaged in fruitful technical discussions which will be the basis of the work to be developed in the next few months.
The privacy and ethical aspects were discussed, stating the need for DPOs to be identified for all pilots and for data protection impact assessments top be prepared as soon as possible.
Finally, the setup of the innovation board and the establishment of a broad customer advisory board were addressed, which will lead to specific actions in the next few weeks.
A friendly social dinner was organized in the evening, a great opportunity for partners to pursue technical discussions but also exchange cooking tips and tourism advice 🙂
